I’m Marco Lazzaroni, and I first touched leather in 2017. I immediately fell in love with its versatility and character. Fascinated by its possibilities, I began experimenting and learning the craft on my own — right in the living room of my apartment.
From the beginning, my idea has been to give people something of real value — not just a product, but a companion for daily life. Each accessory is designed and made with care, attention, and respect for the material, created to last and to grow more meaningful over time.
What keeps me moving forward is the desire to explore — materials, techniques, places, and people. I’m constantly learning, experimenting, and refining my approach, letting experience shape both my hands and my way of thinking.
I’m drawn to aesthetics in all its forms — from design and architecture to nature and craftsmanship — and this sensitivity sits at the core of everything I create at VICUS.
At the same time, I am committed to sustainability and ethical practices. Every piece is handcrafted using vegetable-tanned leather and produced responsibly, through a careful and considered process. My goal is to offer accessories that are functional, elegant, and conscious — for people who care about what they wear, and why.

When I say handmade, I mean it: no machinery, no shortcuts. Even the stitching is executed using the traditional saddler’s technique, so that every detail reflects careful craftsmanship and attention.

The transformation process, from raw hide to finished product, uses only water and natural plant tannins, allowing the leather to develop a unique patina over time that reflects the life and choices of the person who wears it.
